What a difference a day makes!

Here's an update on Saturdays exciting attempt to set up our display at Magee...at the Biggest Week in American Birding.

If you read my last post, you know about the winds, rain and mud...lots of mud! What a difference a day makes! Today is bright and sunny, a steady breeze blowing in and scads of birds singing all around us.

We arrived a little late, slept in...and with the help from a few of the other birders here, I have my tent set up and in one piece. We have our tables, bins and all of my photos, and postcards too!...now we have to wait for the people to arrive...

We found her about a mile down the beach...she's okay.
Again, please note the covering of mud from head to toe.

This is the Doodles at her postcard table. At this point, I gave up and sat in my car and pouted.

Yes, there are a few birds here, like this Scarlet Tanager.

This poor raccoon was trying his hardest to get into that hole in the tree...after a lot of wiggling, he finally made it in.
I wanted to do the same thing.
