I'm still playing with the photos from the San Diego bird Fest. This may take a while, but I don't mind. It brings back such great memories.
I posted Anna's Hummingbird nestlings last time. They looked WAY too big for that little nest. We managed to find three other nests while we were out birding. I still need to go through all of the notes to remember the names of the locations. In the meantime, here's more lil' hummers to look at. They're better than my rambling anyway...
Costa's Hummingbird sitting patiently on a nest.
Anna's Hummingbird building her nest.
A male Anna's Hummingbird, the master of all he surveys!
And the 'Baby Huey's' trying to squeeze into their nest. Mother Anna was coming in to feed them constantly.
A great series on the Hummingbirds, Dave! It must have been a very exciting trip. Well... it would have been for me anyway :)
