Winter birds...

"Cold Duck"...A few Mallards on ice.

Have a Happy and Birdy New Year!!

An American Robin just chillin...

An American Tree Sparrow in its 'southern' habitat...I guess it's warmer here than Canada...

A Northern Cardinal outside our dining room window...waiting for me to leave so she can get back to the feeder.

Song Sparrows have skinny heads, just like me!

A DoodleBird in her winter plumage.

  1. That Red-capped DoodleBird looks like a lifer to me. Good thing you got a record shot.

  3. Fantastic snaps. The sparrow is becoming rare bird now a days in this part of the World.

  4. ...Cold Duck...shaking head! Love your winter birds. The American Tree Sparrows still have not made it down to my yard. Last year they didn't arrive until after a very big snow storm in Feb. I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer. Doodles---love the outerwear. You look nice and warm, except for your fingers and arms. You look like Ralphie's little brother in "A Christmas Story" -- "I can't get my arms down..." Happy, Happy New Year--and happy birding too!
